Questions

Straight answers

How much does tree removal cost in Casper?

It depends on the size of the tree, where it stands and what is underneath it. A small tree in an open yard costs far less than a tall cottonwood over a roof, which has to come down in pieces. We look at it in person and put the price in writing before any work starts.

Does my tree need to come down, or can it be trimmed?

More often than not, it can be trimmed. Removal is the answer when the trunk is hollow, the roots have failed, the tree is dead or it is leaning toward something it would wreck. If pruning will do the job, that is what we will recommend.

Do you haul away the wood and brush?

Cleanup is part of the estimate. The brush is chipped and hauled, and the wood goes with it unless you would rather have it cut to length and stacked for firewood. Say so when we quote and we will plan for it.

When is the best time of year to trim trees in Casper?

Late winter and early spring, before the buds open, is best for most trees: the structure is easy to see and the cuts seal quickly once growth starts. Dead, broken or hazardous limbs can come off at any time of year, and spruce and other evergreens can be pruned most of the year as well.

Will the work tear up my lawn?

We plan where every piece lands before the first cut, and limbs are roped and lowered where there is no room to drop them. Where equipment has to cross the grass we keep it to one path, and the lawn is raked before we leave.

Can you give an estimate if I am not home?

For most trimming and removals, yes: tell us which tree and we can measure it, look at what is around it and send the estimate. For a removal close to the house we would rather walk it with you, so you know exactly what is coming down and where.
